With over 15 years of experience in the aerospace and maritime industries, I bring a strategic and pragmatic approach to business coaching. My background encompasses roles in project management, business transformation, and leadership development, providing me with a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities within these complex sectors. 

When I’m not supporting aerospace and maritime businesses, I volunteer on a three-masted tall ship, and also work with young people to develop the skills they need in their chosen careers.

My best advice for small business owners

Here are some practical nuggets of advice for small business owners from my experience:

  1. Your Energy Sets the Tone – As the owner, you’re the thermostat, not the thermometer. Your team reflects your mindset and intensity—lead by example.
  2. Delegate Outcomes, Not Tasks – Give your team ownership by delegating goals, not just to-do lists. It builds accountability and frees you to focus on strategic growth.
  3.  Cash Flow is King – Profit is theory. Cash is reality. Monitor cash flow like your business depends on it—because it does.
  4. Measure What Matters – Track a few key numbers that actually drive results. Don’t drown in data—focus on what moves the needle.
